Brihanna Jayde (Nathaniel Eldridge)

Quick Facts with Brihanna Jayde

Q:  How did you get your name Brihanna Jayde?

A: How I got my name Brihanna is that I had an obsession with Rihanna so if you actually look at how I spelled it, it is just Rihanna with a "b." Jayde was actually a name I just took because she was not going to do drag anymore and Brihanna Jayde flowed so well.

Q: Do you feel that gays and transgenders are represtened in an accurate light in Hollywood?

A: It is pretty accurate, but obviously, Hollywood is always dramatized. How I feel about it in general is that were are in a second civil rights movemnet and we are finally getting into the realization that gay men and women and transgenders are among us. It is slowly starting to be accepted. However, it is pretty accurate, but sometimes it just depends on the situation.

Q: Where is your dream place that you want to perform?

A: Overall, my goal is to eventually go onto RuPaul's Drag Race, just one of the seasons. One of my friends actually made it on the show. Unfortunatly, she was the first to go, but she still got paid to be on the show.

Q: Why are you so passionate about teaching others about the drag community and its artform?

A: I feel that entertaining to me is more than just entertaining, I am actually spreading a message. I want to spread a message because entertainment is not discriminatory. It does not discriminate whether you are gay, straight, black, white, transgendered, purple, yellow, whichever. My job and what makes me feel good is to entertain you all and as long as that is the goal, I am going to keep going with this industry.
