Who We Are...
My name is Emily Wearing, and I am a senior in journalism and mass communications with a digital focus. I currently work at Channel 8 news at Kansas State University, where we put on a weekly news broadcast for the Manhattan community. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hanging out with friends, and antiquing. I will graduate in May 2014.
My name is Jena Sauber, and I am a senior in journalism and mass communications with a print focus. I work for the K-State Collegian, where I have worked as a reporter for three years, and on the video team for a semester. In my free time, I enjoy baking, camping, and being crafty. I will graduate in May 2014.
My name is Amy Himmelberg and I am a senior in broadcast journalism at Kansas State. I have worked at Channel 8 news for the past year, producing, shooting and editing for our weekly live newscast. I enjoy cheering on my Wildcats, and spending time with family at home in Kansas City and fiance near Allen, Kansas
My name is Melanie Thomas, and I am a senior in print journalism at Kansas State University. I have worked as a copy editor and staff writer at the K-State Collegian for the past year, and I am the
editor-in-chief of the fall 2013 edition of the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communication's alumni publication, Update Magazine. I enjoy rock climbing, hammocking, camping, hiking and baking. I will graduate in December 2013.
